"The poor dears. As a liberal, one of my guiding principles is compassion for the less fortunate. As such, I feel very, very, sorry for the mentally ill who are insisting that down is up and black is white. I mean really, it is only a matter of time before the men in white coat's come and get 'em. Liberals do not wish that fate on anyone. Unless they are a danger to themselves and everyone around them. Then we must insist they be dragged off to the loony bin, kicking and screaming if need be; for their own good, of course."
If you're going to talk about the mentally ill you need to educate yourself. Please read Robert Whitaker's Mad In America, and put your liberal compassion to better use than this.
I'm sorry, but your comment was just so over the line.
flawedplanet, that comment was satire. Of course I have compassion for the truly mentally ill and do not wish them any sort of harm at all. I was referring to the subjects of Glenn Greenwald's post- political operatives who refuse to see reality, or rather refuse to admit reality, because it means admitting they are wrong about something.
